Where do you fit?
An active candidate is someone who is actively looking for a new job. This does not necessarily mean that the candidate is unemployed. Active candidates are looking for a new job for a variety of reasons:
-they are concerned about the stability of their current company
- they would like to take on more responsibility
- their job was outsourced
- their employer went out of business
This type of candidate is actively searching the job boards, may have his/her resume posted online, and is highly motivated to find new employment.
As an active candidate, we can provide up to date opportunities and introductions to companies that are currently hiring.
A Passive candidate is someone who is not actively looking for a new job. This type of candidate is probably too busy doing what they need to do to be successful to even worry about what’s happening in the job market. However, this type of candidate IS interested in managing their career and may be open to hearing about opportunities to advance their career.
This type of candidate most likely is not looking at job postings and may or may not have an updated resume.
